Scope of Work: Project involved the erection of a 116 megawatt coal-fired power plant:
• boiler installed came from a decommissioned power plant in South Africa
• refurbished and equipped with state-of-the-art emission control technology and controls
• All steel for the boiler house was box steel that was also shipped from location in South Africa
• Steam Turbine and Generator were shipped from an existing site in South Korea
• Fire Protection systems for the facility were done design / build by NewMech and all mechanical systems, including back - end emission control, were installed by NewMech as well
• manpower peak was approximately 700 workers and the site exceeded 1 million man hours without a lost time accident
